“The City” in this piece is North Hero, Vermont. Funny, huh? But from the 1870s to today, North Hero Village has been locally known as ”The City”.  You will find it on maps of Lake Champlain as it is located on “City Bay”.  It is a beautiful little village and I wanted to create a piece that reminds me of home.

I started with images of each of the iconic houses/businesses in the village and then created a design that incorporates all of them. They are not placed as they are in real life but in a way that pleases me and worked well for the overall effect.

This piece hangs in my living room, and every time I look at it, I think I need to change something!  But then I say to myself “it is not a photograph”.
